A number of
years ago, Mallard Bay first established a park in which dogs could be
permitted to run without leashes. The park utilized one of two
tennis courts located at the intersection of Pintail Lane and Canvasback
Lane. The surface was hard and, although suitable for tennis, it
was not completely suitable for exercising dogs so, in 2021, unused grassy land
adjacent to the tennis courts was surrounded by chain link fencing and
equipped with outdoor furniture and a fire hydrant to complete the new
park.
Many thanks go to Mary McGuire
for designing and supervising the construction of the new park
and , thanks to Marshall Sebra for delivering and placing the fire
hydrant and to Bob Mitchell for providing transportation
of park materials.
