The
Clubhouse
The center of social activity in Mallard Bay is its clubhouse which,
on the inside, features folding tables and chairs, a stone fireplace
surrounded by cushioned sofas, entertainment electronics including a
wide-screen television, DVD player and stereo. The clubhouse has
restrooms accessible from the swimming pool or the inside of the
clubhouse, and a complete kitchen featuring a refrigerator, stove, oven,
microwave and dishwasher.
It's located adjacent to the Mallard Bay swimming pool and features
an outdoor deck with umbrella covered tables and chairs as well as a gas
barbeque grill. The clubhouse overlooks the Mallard Bay community
docks and the headwaters of the Great Wicomico River.
Various
Mallard Bay clubs and activities use the clubhouse for their events
including: The Mallard Bay Social Committee, the Dine-In Group,
the morning exercise group and the Mallard Bay Board of Directors for
their regular meetings.
Best of all, the clubhouse is available (on a first come, first
served basis) for private functions sponsored by individual MBPOA
members. There is no fee for MBPOA members to use the
clubhouse, but at the end of an event, it must be returned by the user
to the condition in which it was found.
