Mallard Bay is located at the headwaters of the Great Wicomico River which flows into the Chesapeake Bay, ten miles downstream.  We are in Northumberland County on the peninsula called the Northern Neck of Virginia, between the Potomac and the Rappahannock Rivers.  The mailing address is P.O. Box 87, Heathsville, Virginia, 22473.

Directions to Mallard Bay by Road

From Warsaw, Virginia:

Take U.S. 360 east 18.9 miles to the intersection with Courthouse Road.

Bear right (south) onto Route 201 (Courthouse Road) and go 3.6 miles to Route 642.  A brick Baptist church is at the intersection.

Bear left (east) on route 642 and proceed 1.4 miles to the entrance of Mallard Bay on your left.  

The entrance is directly across from the beginning of Georgetown Road.

Total driving distance is 23.9 miles.

From Kilmarnock, Virginia:

Travel northeast on route 200 (Jessie DuPont Memorial Highway) for 8.1 miles to the village of Wicomico Church.

Turn left on route 609 (Brown's Store Road) and proceed 3.2 miles to convenience store/gas station (Brown's Store Market).  This will be a "T" intersection.

Turn right on Light Street and travel 1.3 miles to route 642 (another "T" intersection).

Turn left on 642 and travel 1.3 miles to the entrance to Mallard Bay on the right.

The entrance is directly across from the beginning of Georgetown Road.

Total driving distance is 13.9 miles.

Directions to Mallard Bay by Water

From the Great Wicomico River Light where the river spills into the Chesapeake Bay, follow navigation markers up the Great Wicomico River and under the Route 200 bridge.  Approximately 5 miles past the bridge you will see the boat docks on the port side of your boat below the clubhouse on the hill.  Geographic coordinates are:
